Jesus Christ the Son of God was born on Christmas Day <br />No silks or satins or grandeur things for this child to display <br />His shelter was a stable a manger was his cradle <br />God in his infinite wisdom sent his Son to earth <br />The flesh and precious blood of Jesus Christ <br />Saved the world from sin and death uniting heaven and earth <br />Three wise men came to Bethlehem to find the newborn King <br />Gold, myrh and frankincense these gifts the wise men bring <br />A star shone brightly in the east to guide them on their way <br />They followed it to the stable in Bethlehem where the Christ child lay <br />Angels sing their praise on high alleluias fills the sky <br />Christmas all rejoice and sing heaven and earth proclaim his name <br />Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace their King<br /><br />Susanna Burton Goehler Campbell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/christmas-6/
