Katie Miller - Guardian Angel

I miss you more than words can say <br />I use to think about you everyday <br />I can’t believe how fast the time has gone <br />Now days or months go by and I don’t think of you…I hope that’s not wrong <br /> <br />I know that you will forever be in my heart <br />But having you not here just tears me apart <br />God took you when He thought it was right <br />I know until the end you put up a fight <br /> <br />I wish you were here <br />Instead of there <br />I would love to talk <br />And go on walks <br /> <br />I never really understood why you died <br />I just knew that I cried and cried <br />Although now that I’m older <br />The reason has become a lot bolder <br /> <br />Nursing school has taught me so much <br />I’ve learned all about the heart, kidneys and such <br />I try to piece together the information <br />To come up with my own explanation <br /> <br />It’s hard to know exactly what went wrong <br />I just know that your whole lifelong <br />You lived a life led by God <br />Even though I thought watching church on TV was odd <br /> <br />This is why I know you have been forgiven <br />And are up in heaven <br />You are now one of God’s angels <br />And to me you are my Guardian Angel <br /> <br />I love you and miss you Grandpa!<br /><br />Katie Miller<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/guardian-angel-37/
