Jessie Hopkins - Love Promise

Here we lie hand in hand. <br />Our bodies together in the sand. <br />The water comes up to grab our feet <br />then pulls away in defeat. <br /> <br />We laugh at the swimmers <br />in the cold water that shimmers. <br />We tell each other stories. <br />All the fails and the glories. <br /> <br />I snuggle closer still <br />as love for him inside me fills. <br />The sun sets, coating the ocean red, <br />signaling the time for bed. <br /> <br />I tell him I hope we never part <br />for he does and always will have my heart. <br />He kisses me softly and says we belong together, <br />and that he too will love me forever.<br /><br />Jessie Hopkins<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/love-promise-3/
