Exponential birth rates push Mayotte hospital to saturation point
<p>The French island of Mayotte used to be part of the Comoros. Ever since the Comoros gained independence from France in the mid-1970s there has been a widening gap in living standards between Mayotte and the rest of the Comoros. This report takes a look at Mayotte's main hospital: the undisputed champion of France in terms of birth rates, its maternity ward is saturated.
